Embrace The Beauty Of GOD's Creation

TIDA RWANDA

In Rwanda, technology is incredibly increasing. Papers and paperboard, articles of pulp, articles of stationery, notebooks, folders, albums of paper, envelopes, letter cards, plain postcards, boxes, pouches of paperboard, and other paper varieties are widely used. Eighty percent of Rwandans need paper and paperboard daily for different functions. Do all Rwandans know that all these products are manufactured from forest deforestation? Initiating a paperless approach should be a focus on reducing paper consumption in our working processes, meaning less printing of documents. Additionally, utilizing single-use plastic in item packaging could serve as an alternative to reduce paperboard production. With the help of this project ( NDI UMUDIGITALE), we aim to mitigate Rwanda's contribution to the emissions from paper production-related deforestation.

Rwanda, and the world in general, prefers digitalization in nature conservation and making the planet great. This is only the most recent commitment to stop forest loss. Back in 2005, the UN forum on forests committed to reversing the loss of forest cover worldwide by 2015. In 2008, 67 countries pledged to try and reach zero net deforestation by 2020. This was followed by the New York Declaration on Forests in 2014, which saw 200 countries, civil society groups, and indigenous people's organizations commit to halving deforestation by 2020 and ending it by 2030
